I kept hearing mention of the “100th monkey” effect on a radio program called “The Second Foundation” (named after a story by Isaac Asimov). As the topic came up and was either mentioned or debated a few of the times it came up, I damn near called in and was thinking about posting a link in their chat; and, well simply because it became painfully obvious that the ‘round-table’ was seemingly un-aware of the work of Carl Jung—I did not.
I remembered reading an explanation of several census-like statistics of documented instances of ‘evidence’ to convey a similar message as described of harmonic resonance—birds breaking into milk-jugs back in the day they were delivered door to door, where a particular species of bird figured out how to get the jugs open one day. Within a astoundingly short period of time, the species across the globe repeated the behavior.
